12 Ton Challenge - Week 2

    This week Started on Sunday for me. I went to the “Your first Workout Class” at 2 pm, Ben has been hosting these classes all during January to get the 12 ton challenge out there. Plus every morning during the week from 8am-9 am I have the life change class with Ben, the exercises are getting better each day. Last week I was feeling really stiff and having a hard time doing simple movements. There are 6 people registered for this class, but every morning for sure there’s 4 of us there.  Shit happens things come up, but I’m at a point in my life; if someone is going to offer up there time to help me out. I will get my ass out of bed and make it there every day. I am determine to lose this weight, this seems like the only thing in a long time I can stick too.

    So I think at this point I think I can finally mark myself off as the main thing that were to hold me back from losing weight for my self, my wife and my family. I want to participate fully in putting my best effort forward in losing weight for this challenge. To me it doesn’t matter if I loose a ton of weight, as long as I feel healthier. I would love to walk a flight of stairs and not get winded.

    Last week I mentioned Ben’s Challenge, for this challenge Ben will raise $150 towards a healthy food donation for our local food bank. This was suppose to take place last Friday, But of course we got out first real snow fall of the year. Because of the snowfall one of the key players was stuck helping with the snow cleanup. So we postponed the challenge to this week Friday. So as long as the weather holds up the challenge will be a go. There will be a video I will post next week with more information on the challenge.  

    As for this week I have done 3 morning classes. These classes are about 45 minutes and the exercises are challenging for sure. Some days it feels like the longest 45 minutes of my life. I feel tired when I get up in the morning, but I can say I don’t have that mid afternoon slump as much anymore. The only thing that has been hurting my are my hands, I think its more of all the years working behind the keyboard. Ben has told us that Thursday is our day off from the workout this week. He still wants us to get out there and do something, I am going to head to the car show with my wife for the day and then hit the gym when I get back. No point messing with my routine at this point. Staying motivated is key!

    But like I said before Friday is the event. The weather looks to be sunny and cold. All let ya know next week how it went.
