About

My name is Matthew Tape. I created Canadian Tape to post random stuff about my life in Chatham, Ontario. A place that I post all the weird, funny and different stuff I find around the net. To share stuff that was on my mind and others that really stuck with me during my day to day journey. Feel free to leave comments under the post you enjoyed, hated or just felled the need to say something.

HERE’S A DOG DANCING THE MERENGUE EXTREMELY WELL: There’s a new video on YouTube of a dog DANCING THE MERENGUE. It sounds stupid … and it is … but it’s also pretty impressive because the dog doesn’t just do A FEW dance moves … it does a whole choreographed routine with its owner.

CEE-LO HAS UNLEASHED HIS “(EFF) YOU” VIDEO: CEE-LO has now unleashed the OFFICIAL video for “(Eff) You”. It follows Cee-Lo from a kid to adulthood, as he gets his heart broken in the same diner over and over again. Eventually, he turns into “The Lady Killer,” which … not coincidentally … is also the title of Cee-Lo’s next album. (It’s tentatively set to come out in December.)

AND NOW … “ITALIAN SPIDER-MAN”: Other countries love making horrible CHEAP versions of American superhero movies, and some of them are cult classics. And if you’ve never seen it, there’s an awesome SPOOF of those movies on YouTube called “Italian Spiderman”. The trailer is AMAZING, and in the first of the ten installments, Spider-Man … played by a chubby dude in a red turtleneck … bets his life on a game of black jack.

The Second Prototype Of The Power Laces Brings Back To The Future II Shoes Closer To Reality

The original prototype of the Back to the Future II-inspired Power Laces were cool but needed a bulky motor attached to the heel. This second prototype doesn’t. They’re also way more awesome and with donations, could become real. [Power-Laces via CrunchGear Via Gizmodo]

Retro Commodore could be good times
After years of on-again, off-again teasing, it looks like Commodore (or Commodore USA at least), may have figured out a way to remain relevant and/or re-invent themselves: release a computer that looks like a C64 but stuff it with modern components.
The new model will be called the PC64 and will be an exact replica of the C64 case. The innards will include an Intel Atom processor combined with an Nvidia ION2 graphics , similar to what you might get in a new netbook. The PC64 will also come with 4GB of memory, 1TB hard drive and all the other usual suspects – Bluetooth, WiFi, and even an option Blu-ray drive.
Being a child of the 80’s, it does seem cool for Commodore to go retro – at least on the outside but I wish they would have used the Commodore 128 chassis – it was so much cooler, no?
The PC64 should be available for purchase during the holiday season.
